Compatibility


Is Bluebeam compatible with the Mac operating system and Apple products, e.g. the iPad or iPhone?

Bluebeam PDF Revu is currently compatible with Windows Operating Systems only. However, Mac users can run Revu using Boot Camp or Parallels. For more information, visit our blog post.

Is Bluebeam PDF Revu 64-bit compatible?

Yes, Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard, CAD and eXtreme are compatible with Windows XP x64, Vista x64, and Windows 7 x64. They also install 32-bit plug-ins for Microsoft Office XP, 2003 and 2007.

CAD and eXtreme only: Integrates with AutoCAD 2008 - 2012 x64, SolidWorks 2006 - 2011 x64 and Revit x64 2010 - 2012 only. It also installs 32-bit plug-ins for AutoCAD 2004 - 2012.

Is Bluebeam compatible with tablet PCs?

Does Bluebeam PDF Revu work with CAD applications and project management software?

Bluebeam PDF Revu includes plug-ins for AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit and Microsoft Office for one-button PDF creation and batch creation. Revu offers direct integration with SharePoint and ProjectWise for seamless access to files stored in these document management systems.


Can Bluebeam run in a Citrix environment?

Bluebeam does not support a Citrix environment, but we have many customers who use Bluebeam in this way. In order to stay compliant with our EULA (End User License Agreement) you must purchase as many seats as there are users in your organization.

Bluebeam PDF Revu offers a complete solution for PDF creation, markup, editing and collaboration. With Revu Standard, users have access to the complete set of markup, editing and collaboration features as well as PDF creation using plug-ins for Microsoft Office and a Bluebeam PDF printer driver. Revu CAD includes everything in Standard plus additional plug-ins for creating PDF files from AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks. What file types can be converted and created in Bluebeam PDF Revu?

Bluebeam PDF Revu converts CAD and Windows files to PDF, TIF, JPG, BMP, PSD, PNG, PCL, GIF, EMF, and WMF. Additionally, Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD and eXtreme converts AutoCAD and Revit files to these 10 file formats plus DWF using an integrated plug-in. Does Bluebeam PDF Revu support PDF forms?

Bluebeam PDF Revu versions 6.5 and later support viewing and filling in PDF forms. Bluebeam PDF Revu eXtreme 9 supports form creation.

How much does Bluebeam PDF Revu cost, and how can I purchase it?

I have both AutoCAD and non-AutoCAD users in my company-what product is right for me?

You may find a combination of Bluebeam products will best fit the needs of users in your company. Bluebeam offers three desktop solutions and a server-based solution to meet the needs of all users. View our product comparison chart or contact us for more information.

I have employees/clients who need to markup drawings but do not need to convert CAD files. Do you sell seats of Revu separately in these circumstances?

Bluebeam recommends that non-CAD users purchase our lower-priced PDF solution, Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard. Standard includes a full PDF markup and editing solution as well as PDF creation from MS Office and Windows. Click here for pricing information.

What is included when I purchase maintenance?

Maintenance customers receive free major and minor upgrades as well as free phone and email technical support for one year. Maintenance is renewable every year. This optional program is listed in our pricing chart for Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard, CAD and eXtreme.


Upgrade

What is a Minor upgrade?

Bluebeam releases minor upgrades small enhancements are made to an existing version of software. Minor upgrades are free to customers who have purchased the same version of the software. For example, customers who have purchased a version 8.0 license can upgrade to version 8.5 or any other version 8.x release for free. Customers can download updates by visiting our support site.


What is a Major upgrade?

Bluebeam releases major upgrades when we have added significant new features to our software. An example of a major upgrade would be an upgrade from version 8.0 to version 9.0. Current customers can upgrade to the latest major version by purchasing a discounted upgrade license online store or through Pacific Computing at sales@pacificcomputing.com or phone 1300 769 723 or +617 3503 5880. Customers that have annual maintenance with their license do not have to purchase upgrades as they receive all upgrades free of charge.


What if I upgrade my AutoCAD or SolidWorks software and do not have the latest version of Bluebeam PDF Revu?

Customers who upgrade to the latest version of AutoCAD and SolidWorks but do not have the latest version of Bluebeam PDF Revu that plugs into that CAD version can still create PDF files using Bluebeam's PDF printer driver. For full access to the AutoCAD or SolidWorks plug-in, an upgrade of Bluebeam PDF Revu may be required.


How do I upgrade my current Revu license to Revu eXtreme?

It's easy. Current customers with a license of Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard or CAD can upgrade to Revu eXtreme by purchasing a license at the upgrade price. View the upgrade pricing list for Revu eXtreme or visit our online store to purchase your upgrade.

If you have maintenance on your license, please email sales@pacificcomputing.com for a price quote to continue your maintenance with the eXtreme license.


Miscellaneous

Can I transfer Bluebeam PDF Revu from one computer to another?

Yes. You may transfer Bluebeam PDF Revu by uninstalling the software from one workstation (provided it is connected to the Internet). This will free up the license key, and then you can install the same version of the software onto another computer. Use the same serial number and product key to register the software. If you uninstall our software from a computer that is not connected to the Internet, please contact sales@pacificcomputing.com or phone 1300 769 723 or +617 3503 5880 so one of our associates can assist you.


What do I do if my hard drive crashes and I need to reinstall my software?

If your hard drive crashes and you need to transfer Bluebeam PDF Revu to another computer, please contact Bluebeam support for assistance. You may email sales@pacificcomputing.com or phone 1300 769 723 or +617 3503 5880 with a brief explanation of the problem and your serial number. One of our support associates will assist you so you can reinstall and register the software on another workstation.


My clients do not have Revu. If I send them a file, will they be able to view my markups in another PDF viewer?

Bluebeam PDF Revu follows the PDF standard which allows markups made in Revu to be seen in other PDF viewers. However, the only way to use Revu's unique markup features is by opening the PDF in Revu.
